SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities say a 50-year-old man is behind bars following a drug raid on his Salisbury home that led to the seizure of a large amount of powder cocaine and crack cocaine.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that over the past several weeks, its Community Action Team conducted a drug investigation into Maurice Osborne selling controlled dangerous substances from the 28000 block of Brockhampton Court in Salisbury. On Friday, June 26, a search and seizure warrant was executed on Osborne’s home by the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team.
Police said a search of the home resulted in the recovery of 132.66 grams of powder cocaine and 113.77 grams of crack cocaine. A total of 245.83 grams of
cocaine was seized from the home, according to investigators. A Derringer .45 colt handgun was recovered from the home and later found to be reported stolen through the Salisbury Police Department in 2010.
Police said they also seized equipment to manufacture crack cocaine.
Osborn was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime, and possession of a stolen firearm. Osborne is being held without bond.
