UPDATE: Military Plane Crash Under Investigation in Accomack County

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va.- Virginia State Police say four people have been safely located after a plane crashed in Accomack County Monday afternoon.

According to VSP, the crash was reported at around 3:52 PM in the Bloxom community. Wreckage has been found near Berry and Mason Roads. A spokesperson for the Naval Air Station Patuxent River tells WBOC and WRDE that the plane was a Norfolk based Navy E2 aircraft. The spokesperson says all four people on the plane had non critical injuries, with three taken by ambulance and the fourth being "assisted out of the woods."

Police say the Berry and Mason Road intersection was closed due to the crash and a detour route was set up. 

There is no word yet on why the plane crashed. The Patuxent spokesperson says the plane is a Navy aircraft, but was unsure of the air base of origin.
