Right Whale Slow Zone In Effect Off Ocean City's Coast

MARYLAND - The Department of Natural Resources announced the right whale Slow Zone is in effect through April 14.

Maryland DNR says endangered North Atlantic right whales have been detected off the coast of Ocean City.

Officials are requesting mariners to avoid or transit at 10 knots or less inside the are where right whale have been detected to reduce the risk of vessel strikes.
