Selbyville Dollar General Assault

SELBYVILLE, Del. - The Selbyville Police Department are attempting to identify a suspect in an alleged assault yesterday that left a Dollar General employee unconscious.

According to police, the suspect entered the Dollar General on Church Street in Selbyville just before 6 p.m. Monday evening. There, he allegedly hid store merchandise under his clothing, police say.

Dollar General staff then reportedly approached the suspect and demanded he leave. Police say the suspect then walked behind the counter and assaulted the store clerk, resulting in the employee losing consciousness.

The Selbyville Police Department is asking anyone who can help identify the suspect to call 911 or email uriel.romero@cj.state.de.us.
