EASTON, MD - The Easton Police Department has announced the death of a 24-year-old man following a single car crash Sunday morning.

Police say they were first alerted to the crash around 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 8th, near Dover Road. Upon arrival, police say they found a Ford Explorer turned over on its side with four people outside the vehicle with severe injuries.

Two of the victims, one an 8-year-old child and one a 32-year-old Easton man, were flown to John Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. A third victim, a 31-year-old Easton man, was flown to Maryland’s Shock Trauma.

The fourth victim, a 24-year-old man, was in too critical of condition to be flown and was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton where he died.

Police investigation reportedly revealed the Ford was driving down Dover Rd. before it crossed the centerline just after passing Chilcutt Rd. The Ford then drove off the road and rolled multiple times. The 24-year-old was fully ejected from the vehicle, according to police.

The 31-year-old and 8-year-old victims remain in stable condition. The 31-year-old has since been treated and released.

Easton Police continue to investigate the crash and ask any witnesses or those with information to contact them at 410-822-1111 or the Maryland State Police at 410-822-3101.
