For 100 years, Chincoteague has brought neighbors and visitors together for a tradition unlike any other. Our team spent weeks preparing to tell the story of the annual summer pony penning. This documentary focuses on the history, people, ponies, and community that make this event one of the most iconic not just on Delmarva, but around the world. Take a journey back through history and deep-dive into Chincoteague's Pony Penning Week as WBOC brings you behind the scenes of the milestone 100th Chincoteague Pony Swim. "Unbridled Tradition" aired Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. on WBOC. For those who live outside of the Delmarva Peninsula, this special streamed for free on WBOC's website as well as on the WBOC streaming app for Roku, Fire, and Apple TV.
