Blades Elementary School

BLADES, DE - Blades Elementary School has announced an evacuation Tuesday due to a gas leak.

In a social media post on November 14th, the school said a gas line was hit during a construction project. 

The school says all students were evacuated immediately and are safe. Parents are told that there is no need to pick up students and the school.

As of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the school said the situation was resolved, with the building returning to normal operations. 

"Thank you to the Blades Fire Department, Chesapeake Utilities, and our amazing staff for quickly ensuring the safety for our students," the Elementary School said.
