Crosswalk Pilot Program

Downtown Dover Partnership reschedules Crosswalk Pilot Program paint event

DOVER, Del. – The City of Dover has rescheduled today's Crosswalk Pilot Program painting event due to rain.

The event was initially scheduled for Oct. 14 and rescheduled for Oct. 22, but will now take place tomorrow, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at South Queen Street and West Loockerman Street. The new date is subject to change due to weather.

Community members are invited to help paint crosswalks with designs by Delaware artists Katherine Heisk and Edward Loper II as part of the Downtown Dover Strategic Master Plan.

The artwork was designed by Delaware artists Katherine Heisk and Edward Loper II, then sketched out on crosswalks to be filled in with paint. Prior artistic experience is not necessary.

For anyone planning to attend, RSVP is encouraged, but not required, and available at downtowndoverpartnership.com. Those who RSVP will receive updates on any potential changes.
