LAUREL, DE - The Laurel Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred Feb. 11 in the Carvel Gardens apartment complex.

Branson Daniels, 22, of Laurel, was reportedly arrested March 27 by the United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force at a motel in Ocean City, Maryland. 

Police said Daniels would remain in Maryland pending extradition to Delaware. 

Laurel Police shared photos of the suspects and a vehicle of interest to their Facebook page following the shooting.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Daniels on Feb. 23 – announced on Facebook March 3. 

Daniels (pictured) faces the following charges:

-Possess Firearm During Commission of a Felony 

-Possess Firearm by Person Prohibited/Prior Felony Conviction 

-Reckless Endangering First Degree 

-Wearing a Disguise During Commission of a Felony 

Daniels is also wanted by Seaford Police Department in relation to a vehicle pursuit that occurred Feb. 24. Officials say he has an active Sussex County Superior Court warrant for Violation of Probation. 

Update:

On April 4th, Laurel Police Department investigators obtained warrants for the arrest of a 17-year-old male from Seaford in relation to his involvement in the shooting. 

The suspect was found to be already incarcerated in Maryland for an unrelated matter. He will be extradited to Delaware upon his release.
