Stephen Decatur Hwy Fire

WEST OCEAN CITY, MD - The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a Tuesday morning fire off of Stephen Decatur Highway in West Ocean City.

According to the Ocean City Fire Department, firefighters were called to the 9000 block of Stephen Decatur Highway (Route 611) just after 5 a.m. today, January 30th on reports of a structure fire. There, firefighters found a pole barn housing a recreational vehicle on fire and began extinguishing the flames. 

The building and the vehicle are considered complete losses, according to the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fire Marshal at 410-632-5666.

The Shrimp Boat, a nearby business, announced on Tuesday that a structure on the same property caught fire but was not part of their layout.
