WICOMICO COUNTY- A beloved Wicomico County tradition is back and celebrating a major milestone.

The Wicomico County Fair has returned to WinterPlace Park in Salisbury for its 90th year, featuring rodeo events, livestock exhibits, rides and more.

Fair livestock director Maggie Ball says the petting zoo is one of the attractions that makes the event so special, giving visitors a chance to get up close with animals they may normally only see from afar.

"Most people see the animals from a distance, you know, in the fields. Oh, look, there's a cow in the field. You can come out here and actually pet a cow, you know, at the petting zoo," Ball says.

Ball says support for this year's fair has been strong, with a phenomenal turnout on Friday.

The Wicomico County Fair continues Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
