At 911 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from near Deal Island to 11 miles southeast of Gwynn to
near Driver. Movement was northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Virginia Beach, Newport News, Hampton, Salisbury, Fruitland, Pocomoke
City, Princess Anne, Exmore, Cape Charles, Langley AFB, Ocean View,
Virginia Wesleyan University, Regent University, Great Bridge, Deep
Creek, Downtown Portsmouth, Churchland, Norfolk State University,
Salisbury University, and Kempsville.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and waves
3 to 6 ft. The strongest winds are expected this afternoon.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA,
and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding
Bloodsworth Island.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

gusts up to 45 to 50 mph behind a strong cold front this afternoon.

* WHERE...Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset,
and Wicomico Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
