The Maryland Coastal Bays Program has released the 2024 Coastal Bays Report Card rating the overall health of the bays at a B, the highest score the bays have achieved so far.
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. -- The Maryland Coastal Bays Program announced it has been awarded the Whole Watershed Act Grant. The money received will go towards much-needed improvements in Newport Bay.
The money will go toward a five-year initiative focused on water quality and habitat improvements, as well as flood and storm water management.
