TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25
kt with gusts up to 30 kt. For the Gale Watch, west winds 15
to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and waves 2 to 4 ft possible.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay main channel north of Smith Point VA,
Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA, Chester
River to Queenstown MD, Eastern Bay, Choptank River to
Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River, and Tangier Sound
and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until midnight EST Monday
night. For the Gale Watch, from late Monday night through
Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 PM EST...

For the following areas...
Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA...
Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth Island...

At 956 PM EST, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 21 nm northeast of Fishing Bay to 6 nm east of Bivalve
to near Nanticoke River Mouth, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by
suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel.

Locations impacted include...
Ewell, Tangier Sound, Smith Island, Fishing Bay, Bivalve, Nanticoke
River Mouth, and Deal Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
Service.
