Denton Police say one person was arrested and two separate shooting incidents remain under investigation following a large unauthorized gathering Friday night that drew hundreds of people to town.

Police in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City are preparing for potential "takeover" events around the Fourth of July holiday after social media posts began promoting large gatherings in both beach towns.

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department has announced it is taking steps to prepare for a another planned gathering, or “takeover” event, promoted on social media. 

Several people were arrested during a boardwalk "takeover" event, and police are searching for the organizers.
