Accomack County has declared a State of Emergency following the winter storm Sunday night into Monday.

Wicomico County officials say a warming center is now open at the Wicomico Civic Center's Midway Room due to power outages that are affecting thousands in the area. The Civic Center is located at 500 Glen Avenue in Salisbury.

Sprawling power outages caused by the weekend’s winter storm have prompted emergency officials to issue a local area emergency in Somerset County. 

Several warming centers across Delmarva will be open in the coming days to provide shelter from dangerously cold temperatures.
