FORECAST DISCUSSION

Normal high: 73°F. Normal low: 52°F.

Low pressure moving along the coast will keep skies mostly cloudy overnight into Monday, bringing a cool and damp start to the workweek. Showers become more widespread Monday afternoon as northeast winds increase, making temperatures feel even cooler than the upper 50s.

Conditions improve Monday night as the system pulls away, allowing for a sunny and seasonable Tuesday with comfortable humidity levels.

A warming trend begins Wednesday ahead of the next approaching disturbance. Scattered showers may develop during the afternoon, with steadier rain and a few thunderstorms expected Wednesday night into early Thursday as a stronger system crosses the region.

Dry and pleasant weather returns by Friday with sunshine and seasonable temperatures. A significant warm-up arrives next weekend, with highs climbing near 80°F Saturday and into the mid 80s by Sunday under mostly sunny skies.

In the long range, temperatures are expected to average above normal heading into next weekend, with periodic chances for rainfall but no prolonged storm systems currently indicated.
