    Alexis Griess is originally from Williamsport PA, the home of the Little League World Series. She recently moved to Salisbury from Washington D.C. where she graduated from The Catholic University of America with a BM in Musical Theatre and a minor in Media Studies. During her time at Catholic U, Alexis co-founded the university's first Broadcast Journalism organization, The Cardinal Broadcasting Company. She joined the WBOC team in June 2025 and is ecstatic to have Delmarva as her new home.

Friday: A chance of showers early, with patchy fog possible through midmorning. Skies gradually clear, becoming mostly sunny by the afternoon. Breezy and unusually warm, with highs near 82. Winds: SW 6–13 mph, gusting to 21 mph.

Friday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 a.m., followed by lingering showers. Winds shift from southwest to northwest. Lows: Around 51. Winds: 7–15 mph, with gusts to 24 mph.

Saturday: Showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, windy and much cooler. Highs: Around 55. Winds: N around 17 mph, with gusts to 28 mph.

Sunday: Sunny and cool, with a chance of patchy frost early in the morning, especially inland. Highs: Around 58.

Delmarva has seen cooler temperatures and plenty of clouds as a cold front moved south of the region. That front will lift back north as a warm front tonight, bringing a chance of showers and patchy fog early Friday.

Temperatures will rebound Friday, with near-record warmth possible as highs climb into the lower 80s. Skies will gradually clear through the morning, allowing for some sunshine during the afternoon. However, the warmth won't last long. A stronger cold front will approach Friday night, bringing an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms. Gusty winds, heavy downpours and lightning will be possible with any storms that develop.

Showers could linger into early Saturday morning as much cooler air moves into Delmarva. Highs will struggle to reach the middle 50s, with breezy conditions continuing. Skies gradually improve Saturday night, but temperatures will drop into the upper 30s by early Sunday. Patchy frost will be possible Sunday morning, especially in inland areas, so keep an eye on temperatures if you have sensitive plants outdoors.

Sunday brings plenty of sunshine, but it will still feel cool, with highs in the upper 50s. High pressure will help keep the start of next week mostly dry, with temperatures gradually climbing into the 60s.

The forecast becomes less certain as we look toward the middle and end of next week. A potential coastal storm could linger offshore or move back toward the region, bringing the possibility of rain and coastal impacts. The track and timing remain unclear, so stay tuned as the forecast develops.
