As the colder air has locked in on Delmarva, the wind has flipped overnight from east and our temperatures out the door early this morning and in the 30s and 40s and should start to gradually warm throughout the day. One more chilly day will be ahead of us for Wednesday with temperatures holding in the 50s for Wednesday as the wind continues in from the north and east will trap the colder air. Our beach towns may only see temperatures in the 40s to near 50 degrees for a high today. The wind turns overnight back to the southwest and will push our temperatures right back into the 70s to near 80 degrees on Thursday with sunshine.

A stationary front will start to set up over the top of Delmarva and will make for a back and forth battle between the colder air to the north and the very warm air to the south. On Thursday night into Friday…the front will dive south that will provide some extra clouds and even the chance of a few showers or even a storm or two into the evening and early overnight. The front will linger over the top of Delmarva…if not dive south of us on Friday and produce a cooler day with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. The front comes back to the north as a warm front for Friday night into Saturday with extra clouds and the chance of a few showers early on Saturday morning.

A little cool down on Saturday with a bit of extra clouds, but we are splitting hairs by saying this with highs in the 70s. Sunday will be another active day on Delmarva as a cold front arrives in the evening hours with scattered showers and thunderstorms and those showers could linger into early on Monday before tapering off throughout the day. This looks to cool down again for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week with temperatures in the 50s for highs.
