SALISBURY, Md.- A Christmas song that has warmed people's hearts for decades is now giving some people chills.

In this age of the #MeToo movement, some people say the lyrics to the song, "Baby It's Cold Outside," promote sexual harassment.

"He's basically implying that he's going to get the girl drunk, and the girl should be OK with that," says Leah Hill.

Hill is referring to the part of the song when the female ask, what's in the drink?"

Other lyrics include the female telling the male, "I ought to say no, no, no" and "I've got to get away," are causing backlash.

Some radio stations are pulling the plug on the song, but some people say radio stations should keep playing it.

"I think it's a charming Christmas song that's been around for years and sung by so many wonderful people. It was always sung in a spirit of Christmas joy and fun," says Pat Bilenki.

Joe Edwards, 102.5 WBOC Radio's operations manager, says he still plays the song, despite backlash.

"It's such a Christmas traditional song, people don't really listen to the lyrics that closely. I don't think he meant any harm," says Edwards.

The person who wrote the song was Frank Loesser, who wrote Broadway musicals. Loesser wrote the song in 1944, for his wife and himself to perform at parties.
