One local restaurant owner is taking all that we love about Delaware, and putting it into song.
Morgan Shank writes parody songs about Delaware. His first song called, Delaware State of Mind, was a play on Empire State of Mind by Jay Z and Alicia Keys. He's now ready to premiere his newest song and music video this Thursday.

His newest song is called Dew Town Road; a play off the song Old Town Road by Lil' Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus. This song focuses on Dewey Beach.
"It's all about the beach town that I'm from. Dewey Beach, Delaware. So I wanted to shout out all of the small businesses, all of the people who are family, not by blood but by love," said song writer Morgan Shank.
Shank finds the inspiration and writes the lyrics. But it takes a team to put the final music video together.
"I think it's fun to have a spotlight on your town. It's a different kind of tourism video. Usually you just see the pretty beaches and small towns. This is a more creative way of showing just how fun the town is," said owner of W Productions, Rob Waters.

The team strategically planned the video premiere during the off-season. wanting to focus on the local businesses that keep Dewey Beach running.
"There are so may great businesses that have been there for decades who are true, local people that give back to the community, that I just wanted to support. They aren't chains," said Shank.
Dewey Beach is in every bit of the new music video. Along with businesses, local ministers and even Mayor Redefer make a cameo.
"I just want to spread joy and laughter really. And if I can do that through the medium of video and song writing, I'm just a wacky rapper if you will," said Shank.
The video premiers Thursday night at the Dewey Beach Country Club. The link will be shared after the premiere.
