EASTON, Md. - The Easton Carnival is back in town and it's better than ever, according to organizers.
From June 28-July 4, the carnival is open every evening. Organizers with the Avalon Foundation say turnout has been strong so far despite the heat. Jessica Bellis, COO of the Avalon Foundation, says the heat may actually be helping with attendance numbers.
"When you're on the rides, the wind is moving through your hair. Most of the nights the cool has really moved in and after that the sun kind of goes down," Bellis said. "It gets a lot nicer."
Along with red, white, and blue, the Easton carnival will also have purple fireworks as part of its Talbot Goes Purple Opioid Awareness campaign.
