REHOBOTHBEACH, Del.- Authorities say an 81-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night after she attempted to use counterfeit tickets for amusement park rides in Rehoboth Beach.
The Rehoboth Beach Police Department identified Marilyn Hammerman, of Rockville, Md., after she reportedly attempted to ride the bumper cars at Funland with counterfeit tickets.
An employee recognized the tickets were fake from past incidents while working there and contacted management, according to police.
Police said Hammerman was in possession of 20 fraudulent tickets. She was charged with one count of theft of services under $1,500, which is a misdemeanor.
Hammerman was released on a $100 unsecured bail, according to police.
