Milford Man Arrested For Multiple Charges at Cape Henlopen State Park

LEWES, Del.- DNREC Natural Resources Police Park Rangers arrested a Milford man on multiple charges at Cape Henlopen State Park after park rangers observed what appeared to be illegal drugs in plain view inside a car at the park July 30.

Trey S. Mata, 20, was charged with four felonies, including possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person prohibited with a prior drug conviction, possession of a semi-automatic handgun by a person prohibited and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine).

Additionally, Mata was charged with criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, DNREC said.

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $41,500 secured bond, pending arraignment in Superior Court.
