OC Police Arrest 7 in Human Trafficking Operation

OCEAN CITY, Md.- Ocean City police say they have arrested seven people in connection with a human trafficking operation in the resort town.

Police said that with assistance from the Worcester County Criminal Enforcement Team, the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security Investigation, detectives on May 19 and 20 made the seven arrests and seized multiple electronic devices, more than $650 in cash and impounded one vehicle.

Those arrested include:

  • Demetria E. Gregory, 28, of Galloway, N.J., charged with prostitution – general and released on personal recognizance.
  • Lachaye M. Hoskins, 25, of Pleasantville, N.J., charged with prostitution – general and transferred to the Worcester County Jail on $2,500 bond. 
  • Charles C. Lessner, 31, of Selbyville, Del., arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear in court and released on personal recognizance.
  • Randi M. Paicek, 31, of Lewes, Del., charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released on personal recognizance.
  • Andrea L. Presock, 34, of Laurel, Del., charged with prostitution - general and released on personal recognizance. 
  • Catina M. Register, 37, of Georgetown, Del., charged with prostitution – general, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and released on personal recognizance.
  • Baseem K. Taliaferro, 31, of Galloway, N.J., charged with two counts of pandering-take cause and released after posting an unsecured bond of $20,000.
