REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Two Sussex County men are behind bars after police say the two were dealing drugs in the Surf Bagel parking lot.
According to Delaware State Police, on Thursday 29-year-old Gregory Lawson-Hixon and 30-year-old Dante Cilia were sitting in a Chevy Suburban outside of the Rehoboth Surf Bagel on Route One. Police say U.S. Marshals on scene observed several "hand-to-hand narcotics transactions" occur from the Suburban while it was parked.
Police eventually arrested the men and found 63 grams of cocaine, 41 grams of marijuana, 50 candy THC ropes, 41 THC injectors, six THC cigars, five THC vapor oils, 108 oxycodone pills, 68 amphetamine pills, other drug paraphernalia--packaging/ distributing/weighing materials--and over $7,000. Additionally, police say 43 amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, 23 suboxone strips and over $2400 were found on Lawson-Hixon. Police say Cilia had one suboxone strip and over $1,050 dollars.
Both men are facing a litany of drug-related charges, many being "Possession with the intent to deliver" specific drugs. Lawson-Hixon is currently at the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $331,107.00 cash bond. Cilia is also at SCI in default of $293,200.00 cash bond.
