Deadly Crash

WESTOVER, MD - The Maryland State Police have announced the death of a 29-year-old Crisfield woman following a crash in Westover Monday.

Police say that the crash occurred on December 4th just before 11 a.m. on Rt. 413 near Tawes Campus Drive in Somerset County. A freightliner truck was traveling south on Route 413 at the same time a Nissan Rogue and Chevy pickup were traveling north, according to police. State Police say the freightliner crossed over the center line into the northbound lane, crashing into the Nissan and Chevy truck.

The driver of the Nissan, Christina Renee Coulbourne, 29, of Crisfield, died from her injuries. Two children were in the backseat at the time, and both were taken to TidalHealth for treatment.

The driver of the freightliner, a 28-year-old man from Pasadena, MD, was also taken to the hospital.

Police say the occupants of the Chevy were uninjured. 

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and police say charges are pending.
