Accomack County School Bus Crash

NEW CHURCH, VA - The Virginia State Police are investigating a crash involving a school bus carrying about 30 students in Accomack County Monday.

Details are currently limited, but VSP says the crash occurred near Rt. 175 and Coardtown Road in New Church just before 3 p.m. on May 12 and  involved three vehicles, including the bus.

None of the students on the bus or other drivers reported injuries, according to investigators. 

In a social media post just before 3:30 p.m., Arcadia High School said the students were safe and would be taken back to Arcadia Middle School to be checked by the school nurse and picked up.

Virginia State Police say further updates will follow.
