BISHOPVILLE, Md. - Sheriffs say a car crash during a storm left one dead and another injured.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office says on Jan. 12, around 10:35 p.m., a car crashed in the 13300 block of Selby Road. The Worcester County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit was assisted by the Ocean City Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit and the Worcester County State’s Attorney Office.

Sheriffs say a car left the roadway during inclement weather and crashed into a tree, sustaining extensive damage. Authorities say the passenger, identified as Nicholas Charles Schewe, died at the scene. The driver, Liam Strum, was reportedly transported to Tidal Health for his injuries.
