CAMBRIDGE, MD - The State Highway Administration says the bridge will close next week for concrete repairs.
SHA officials say beginning Monday, May 5, at 7 a.m., crews will close the bridge and contractors will use reflective barrels, temporary traffic signs and VMS boards to detour traffic around the project limits. Weather permitting, officials say all work should be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
Department of Transportation officials say marine and pedestrian traffic will not be impacted by the closure.
Motorists traveling west on Maryland Avenue will turn left onto Dorchester Avenue, right onto Cedar Street, right onto Academy Avenue, and back to Maryland Avenue.
Motorists traveling east on Maryland Avenue will turn right onto Academy Avenue, left onto Cedar Street, left on Dorchester Avenue and proceed to Maryland Avenue.
