DELMAR, DE - The Delmar Police Department has announced a change in traffic pattern this Sunday for the funeral of Delmar student Carter Figgs.
A visitation for family and friends is planned for Sunday, October 15th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Delmar High School. A funeral service will then be held at 1 p.m., with the following interment at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Delmar.
Figgs was tragically killed in a car accident last weekend.
Delmar Police say delays are expected near E. State Street from U.S. Rt. 13 to Bi State Blvd between 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. East and westbound traffic will be stopped to allow the funeral procession to move from the High School to St. Stevens cemetery, according to police.
Westbound traffic will also be stopped from turning left onto State Street. Travel will still be possible north or south on US 13 and Bi State Blvd. Delmar Police say anyone going to or from locations within Delmar adjust their routes.
