DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed carjacking that happened Tuesday outside Sam’s Club.

Officers responded to Sam’s Club on North Dupont Highway shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday and spoke with the victim, a 26-year-old Magnolia man, according to the press release. 

The victim reportedly told police he was approached in the parking lot by two Black males, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The two suspects allegedly demanded the victim’s property, including car keys, before one took off in a white four-door sedan with window tint. 

The other suspect drove away in the victim’s vehicle, a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack with Delaware Registration 223742, according to police.

Officers report checking the area for both vehicles, but finding neither. 

One suspect is described as a thin Black male, approximately 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, wearing dark clothing, black ski mask and a white scarf with a plaid design, and armed with a handgun.

The other suspect is described as a thin Black male, approximately 6-foot-1 or 6-foot-2.

A cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest, according to the press release.
