GRASONVILLE, MD- A fire destroyed a Queen Anne's County home Tuesday morning.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal says the flames started shortly before 8:30 a.m. at a home on Grasonville Cemetery Road in Grasonville. Officials say it took 46 firefighters more than an hour to get the blaze under control.

According to the fire marshal, the fire was ruled accidental and caused by discarded wood stove ashes on the front porch.

They say no injuries were reported, but damage is estimated at $340,000.

Friends and family are assisting the owner.
