MILFORD, DE - The Milford Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on Friday night that claimed the life of a 34-year-old man.

Police say on May 2, at about 6 p.m., a Chevrolet Malibu was driving on North Church Street and about to turn into a driveway when a Suzuki motorcycle attempted to illegally pass on the left. As the car was turning, the motorcycle crashed into it, according to police.

The motorcycle driver, identified as Robert Pierce, 34, of Greenwood, was taken to a nearby hospital but died of his injuries. 

The car’s driver was not injured while the car’s passenger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate this crash and ask anyone with information to contact them at 302-847-3333.
