School bus crash

PRESTON, MD - The Maryland State Police are investigating a crash involving a school bus Friday morning that left a driver seriously injured. 

According to police, just before 11:30 a.m. on December 8th, a car was driving west on Grove Road towards the intersection of Bethlehem Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign. The car entered the path of a school bus on Bethlehem Road and was struck by the bus. Police say there were no students on the bus at the time of the crash.

The Maryland State Police took the driver of the car to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by helicopter for treatment of their injuries. The school bus driver was taken to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton for treatment.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The current condition of both the bus driver and driver of the car were not made publicly known Friday.
