Apple Scrapple Festival Held in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- Apples in every form were in Bridgeville Saturday. It's the last day of the annual Apple Scrapple Festival.  Held every year, the town has food and drink vendors, carnival rides, and lots of entertainment.

"This is a festival to celebrate, our different products that we sell. RAPA Scrapple, the T.S Smith Apples, so it's really a coming together of the town that we really celebrate our industry and kind of the agricultural aspects of Delaware," said Jenna Anger, previous Little Miss Apple Scrapple.

Just like many others, her favorite part is the food. Apple and scrapple can be found in any form, along with countless apple desserts.

"We're very excited to be here. It's our first time here at the Apple Scrapple festival and we're just happy to bring our from-scratch homemade goods," says bakery owner Tamara Jackson.

There's no shortage of entertainment. Carnival rides, face-paint, and balloons are just some of the activities for kids. Everyone enjoys the live music and retail vendors.

The festival is back next year. It's always held on the second full weekend in October.
