DOVER, Del.- A Philadelphia man has been arrested following a reported shots fire complaint overnight Sunday.
Dover Police say they got a call for shots fired at the 7-Eleven on North DuPont Highway in Dover around 1 a.m. Officers say when they arrived they found damage to the store.
Investigators say 25-year-old Quadir Petty Smith was found to be in possession of a firearm during the incident and was allegedly pointing it at people at the scene. Police say they do not know if he fired shots during the incident or if other firearms were present.
Petty Smith reportedly left the store before police arrived but was found in the Planet Fitness parking lot where he was taken into custody.
He was taken to the Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned and committed to SCI on $2,500 secured bail on an aggravated menacing charge.
