State Fire Marshal

MARYDEL, Md.- A fire destroyed a shed in Marydel on Sunday.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal says a detached shed on Marydel Rd. caught fire around 1 p.m. on Nov. 17.

They say it took about 23 firefighters 20 minutes to get the flames under control.

No injuries were reported, but the damage is estimated at $15,000.

Investigators say the fire was accidental and caused by burning leaves that extended to the shed.
