MARYLAND - Maryland’s Cannabis Administration (MCA) has identified several Eastern Shore recipients of new marijuana dispensary licenses following a lottery selection of applicants.

On March 14, MCA conducted their license lottery, selecting 172 smaller business applicants from a pool of 1,515 across Maryland. 5 applicants from the Eastern Shore were selected, but the awarded businesses were not identified at the time.

Those awarded businesses are now available on the Cannabis Administration’s website.

Two new marijuana dispensary licenses were awarded in Wicomico County to Elevated Mind and Wellness LLC and DMV Exclusives, according to the MCA’s public license lottery results.

In Somerset County, Kindequity LLC was awarded a standard dispensary license.

Cana-Equity Enterprise and Holdings LLC in Dorchester County also received a license.

Finally, Guru Ventures, Inc. was awarded a license in Worcester County.

The MCA says they do not yet have a date planned for the second round of licensing, though they are not permitted to conduct one before May 2024.
