One Man Killed in Deadly Dover Collision

DOVER, Del. - Police are investigating a collision on North Dupont Highway that left one man dead.

The Dover Police Department say the collision happened around 11:30 p.m., in the 800 block of North DuPont Highway. Officers say a car, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Smyrna, collided with the victim's car as he was making a left turn into the McDonald's parking lot.

Police say the 50-year-old man from Camden was injured in the collision and transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment, but later died from his injuries. His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.

The 20-year-old Smyrna woman reportedly refused medical treatment after the crash.
