planned power outages

LEWES, Del.- Planned power outages are expected to happen overnight for neighbors in Lewes.

Lewes officials say the outages are expected to happen Thursday, October 5th, from midnight to 4 a.m. City officials say the outages are needed to move a Delmarva Power transmission line on Savannah Road because of a DelDOT realignment project on Old Orchard Road.

Those who rely on electrically powered medical devices or any other health, life, or safety equipment in their home or business should plan for backup provisions during the outage periods. The Board of Public Works plans to have staff monitoring the systems during these events.
