Cephas Elected Mayor of Hurlock

HURLOCK, Md.- The town of Hurlock has a new leader. Current town council President Charles Cephas was elected mayor in Saturday's municipal election. 

Cephas is a former police officer and current pastor of Greater Full Gospel Church of Church in Hurlock. 

Cephas received 170 votes, being out Jerry Rhue Sr., who received 118 votes, and Janet Seeds, who garnered 21.

Cephas will be sworn in as mayor on Dec. 6.
