MILLSBORO, Del.- Authorities say one person was found dead and another person was injured following a Tuesday morning fire that heavily damaged a house trailer in Millsboro.
The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal said the blaze, which was reported at around 4:30 a.m., occurred in the 28000 block of Harmons
Hill Road.
The Millsboro Fire Company arrived on the scene with flames shooting
from the home. Firefighters found the body of one person inside the trailer.
A second occupant, a 27-year-old woman, was able to escape the fire by jumping out of a window. She was taken to Beebe Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. She is listed in stable condition, authorities said.
State fire investigators are searching for the fire’s origin and cause.
The body found inside the trailer was taken to the Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be conducted.
Heavy fire damaged is estimated at $30,000.
