Proposed Law Would Enable Stop Sign Cameras on Delaware School Buses

DOVER, Del. --- School buses in Delaware could soon have cameras able to spot drivers who run stop signs deployed when children get on and off buses.

Delaware lawmakers on Tuesday introduced legislation that would enable schools to have cameras installed on buses that will record when drivers illegally overtake or pass a school bus.

The legislation would allow school districts and charter schools to be re-imbursed for the cost of installing and operating the cameras.
