Taco Reho Moving From Food Truck to New Home in Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Local eatery Taco Reho announced Tuesday the opening of its first brick and mortar restaurant in 2021.

The rock & roll celebrating food truck, with its award winning tacos, is taking over the former Burger King space on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach.

“We are excited to find a location on Coastal Highway in between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, similar to our current location,” says owner and Chef Billy Lucas.   “The new location will allow us to expand our experience and food offerings to our growing fan base.”

Taco Reho’s new home will be a fast-casual style restaurant with a completely remodeled drive-thru, dining room, and outdoor Green Room.

Lucas, a self-confessed Taco Head, is obsessed with the flavors and stylings of his menu. He loves to bring unique stylings to each taco and everything else on the menu.   His background is equipped to do just that with his culinary education partly stemming from a decade of living and eating on the West Coast in S.F. and L.A.  He learned the art of the burrito in the Mission District of San Francisco, where it reigns supreme.  The taco-centric food truck culture of L.A. is what inspired him to come back to the East Coast and share what he had learned.

This move to a new home will also allow the food truck to head to more gigs.  As a food truck only, Taco Reho was limited to how many visits it could do offsite from its home base at the Big Chill Surf Cantina.   Its new location will allow the food truck to be more available for parties, concerts, and company events.

Taco Reho is the latest expansion of the La Vida Hospitality Group, which brands include: The Big Chill (Surf Cantina & Beach Club), The Crooked Hammock (Lewes & Middletown, DE & Myrtle Beach, SC), Fork + Flask, and Crave Delivery Kitchen.
