CHESTERTOWN, Md.- A crash took the lives of two people Sunday night in Kent County, Maryland, according to the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company.
The fire company said the crash happened just after 6:45 p.m. on the 9500 block of Flatland Road in Chestertown. Officials said it was a "two-vehicle, head on" collision.
Two of three people involved in the crash died. The third person is recovering as of Monday morning from severe injuries, according to the fire company.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
Several state and local agencies responded to the crash.
