OCEAN CITY, Md. -- Emergency crews in Ocean City responded to two near-simultaneous car accidents Wednesday morning.
The Ocean City Fire Department said via Facebook that they were dispatched to a car accident around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 611 and Sunset Avenue. There, crews said they came upon a serious car crash involving two people.
OCFD said its responding team requested another paramedic team to help assist the second patient, who needed advanced life support care.
Both people were taken to PRMC for evaluation and treatment. OCFD said the patients were considered Priority 2, which means they're condition was not critical, but still required medical attention.
At the same of crews were responding to the first crash, Ocean City crews were also dispatched to another crash on Route 611 and Old Bridge Road. No one was injured in this crash, and OCFD said it was a police-only incident.
Two additional EMS calls came in at the same time, and OC crews responded to those as well.
