EASTON, Md.- Easton police say one person died and two others were injured following a two-car crash.
It happened shortly after 6 a.m. in the area of Ocean Gateway and the Easton Parkway (south end).
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Ford Focus, being operated by 20-year-old Teosha Henry, of Cambridge, Md., was stopped for the blinking red
signal at westbound Ocean Gateway and the Easton Parkway, waiting to proceed north across eastbound Ocean Gateway and continue north on the Easton Parkway.
Police said the Ford Focus went through the intersection and was stuck by a 2020 Chevrolet Spark, operated by 56-year-old Teresa Sanders, of Cambridge, which was traveling eastbound on Ocean Gateway.
According to police, a passenger in the Chevrolet Spark, 67-year-old Angelo Butler, also of Cambridge, was transported to University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, where he was pronounced deceased.
Sanders was transported via helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with reported serious injuries. Henry was treated by medical personnel at the scene.
Maryland State Police are investigating the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
