TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Moving into Phases 1B and 1C of COVID-19 Vaccination Effort

SALISBURY, Md.- TidalHealth Peninsula Regional said Friday it is working in conjunction with the state of Maryland and the Wicomico County Health Department as the community moves into Phases 1B and 1C of the COVID-19 vaccination effort.

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional said it will continue to operate its COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the Avery W. Hall Educational Center on the hospital campus in Salisbury, Md.

The TidalHealth Peninsula Regional COVID-19 vaccination clinic is open by appointment only. You must register online by visiting https://tidalhealth.org/covidvaxmd. Walk-in appointments, per Gov. Larry Hogan's order, will not be permitted. TidalHealth Peninsula Regional will post open clinic days and appointments based on the availability of vaccine provided to us by the state. If all appointments are full, there is no need to call. Please continue to check regularly as we will add more appointments as we receive vaccine shipments.

You will be required to present identification at the clinic to verify eligibility in Phase 1B or 1C.

Phase 1B begins on Monday, Jan. 18, and includes those 75 and over, teachers, childcare providers, people living in group homes or assisted living centers. Priority will be given to those 75 and over in Phase 1B.

Phase 1C launches a week later, on Monday, Jan. 25. At that time, people 65 and over, grocery store workers, people in food production, public transportation and postal workers are among those eligible. Please be sure to only sign up for a clinic date on which you will qualify. Priority will be given to those 65 and over in Phase 1C.

Based on the vaccine provided (Pfizer or Moderna/you will not have a choice) you must return either 21 or 28 days later for a second, mandatory and final vaccination. If you cannot commit to the second vaccination, the first will not be provided to you. A date for your second vaccination will be given to you at the time of your first shot.

The Avery W. Hall Educational Center is located at the intersection of Waverly Drive and Vine Street. The Avery W. Hall Educational Center is NOT Avery Hall Insurance; it is a three-story, brick, orange colored building on the TidalHealth Peninsula Regional campus. The clinic is on the ground floor of the building, straight back as you enter through the double glass doors.

The Wicomico County Health Department will also be conducting COVID-19 vaccinations in the Midway Room of the Wicomico County Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury. To receive a link to register, please email Wicomico.covidvax@maryland.gov.
