Biden to Speed Release of Coronavirus Vaccines

SALISBURY, Md.- As the State of Maryland progresses through the COVID-19 vaccination plan, the Wicomico County Health Department has continued to vaccinate those individuals within Phases 1A and 1B. 

The health department is reminding the community that the vaccine supply is limited and that all appointments for the week of Jan. 18 are full. Once the health department receives additional vaccine supplies, it will send out appointment registration links to those who have already emailed their information to Wicomico.COVIDvax@maryland.gov.

The health department continues to schedule vaccinations for only those listed in Phase 1A & 1B such as:

PHASE 1A – First & Second Doses

  • Front line hospital staff and health care workers,
  • Nursing home residents/staff
  • Law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS
  • Correctional health care staff and officers
  • Front line judiciary staff

PHASE 1B – First Doses

  • Individuals 75 years & older
  • K-12 teachers and support staff
  • Day care providers
  • Assisted Living & other congregate care settings
  • Continuity of government

If you are in Phase 1A or 1B email Wicomico.COVIDvax@maryland.gov and you will receive a registration link as soon as appointments become available. The health department is asking for family members to help those over 75 to register for an appointment because it is online. Bring the following to the vaccination center:

  • Proof of age (Drivers License) 
  • Proof of employment (Wicomico Public Schools ID, Day Care Providers company letterhead)
  • Government ID
